Your skiing holiday in La Rosiere

La Rosiere 1850 is part of "L’Espace San Bernardo" ski area. La Rosiere in France is linked with La Thuile in Italy making it the only Savoyard resort to offer an international ski and snowboarding area. La Rosiere makes a great destination for a family skiing holiday or for a mixed ability group skiing holiday. For the 2008/09 ski season it will open from 13 December: most ski holiday companies such as Ski Beat open their la Rosiere ski chalets on that date.

The Espace San Bernardo offers 150km of pisted ski runs ranging between 1200 and 2650m in altitude. There are 38 ski lifts and 306 snow cannons. There is also plenty of off piste to be enjoyed and the opportunity of heli-skiing in Italy. La Rosiere is at 1850m. La Rosiere is on the border with Italy giving it the advantage of catching weather systems from both directions, giving the ski area excellent snow records. Almost all the skiing and snow boarding is above 1850m and much of it is north facing. The longest run is some 11km. There are seven black runs, three snowparks, an abundance of red and blue runs and several green runs close to the village.
La Rosiere offers many activities for non skiers/snow boarders with many tracks dedicated to snow rackets and paths for walkers allowing exploration of the forests and other areas around the resort. La Rosiere is extremley child friendly offering sheltered areas and specially adapted structures to ensure children can have fun and develop their skills in complete saftey.
There is a whole range of formulas, flexible programs and a host of activities. There is a wide range of restaurants offering a variety of choice and bars with live entertainment .
